I tried to set up a few display setup profiles. Eyefinity, triple clone, and center + 2 extended. It works, but as soon as a save a profile and try to load it in the future, the display order AND positions are always wrong, but never wrong in the same way. Shortcuts or hotkeys, all loaded profiles are messed up. Does everyone else get this? I only want the EF layuout for gaming, adn exteneed mode for everythign else...
Having to manually change the layout every time is getting tedious.

ati + eyefinity + drivers suck ass currently.
All I hear is excuses from ati, its how windows operate, well write some easy to use stuff guys.
I buy a TV, I press one button, and then I can configure where my channels are, save them and use them.

Currently, its a such a mess up with current drivers, and then the 120hz screen issues that a friend has, I cant recomend ati as a card anymore, they just blows currently.
If Nvidias Fermi can do 3 screens and works in a similar way, guess what card I am gonna sell asap..

Trying to get eyefinity, changes resolutions, loosing one screen, and this shifts with what drivers one use, it just blows.
so, I get stuck with 2 screens, need a reboot.

get me one button, to go from 3 single screens to one large eyefinity, or stop selling videocards guys.
its just a mess that I dont need or want.

kinda works for me

I have 5770

I can setup a shortcut key to switch from 3 monitors to eyefinity. Only issue is i have to group it after i press it as they come out as clones.

I can also use a hotkey to switch back to 3 monitors fine :P

Going from Eyefinity to Extended "Normally" works everytime for me. However, going from Extended to Eyefinity, requires me to use the hot key four times for it to work.

Sometimes the monitors will get stuck on cloned mode and the CCC software will say they are in Eyefinity. I then need to got back to extended, then back to Eyefinity to get it to work.

Hm. I guess it'd be faster to hit the hotkey a few times than open and edit another profile..

Let's hope for some improvement with the new drivers...

Although I can't get the hotkeys to work at all (I have to select the profile with the mouse each time), I have found that I can usually get one switch from extended to eyefinity, or vice versa, per reboot. After doing one switch, however, I typically can't get a second switch without a reboot. After a while, I was getting sick of rebooting all the time to switch back and forth, and I found that the ATI "Restart Runtime" acts pretty much the same as a reboot, and lets me switch back and forth with some success.

I do, however, usually have to mouse select the profile numerous times, though.

Well i got at least my triple-extended shortcut/hotkey working. I suspect it may be related to what output is where, and/or to what number your displays are assigned.

I have my 1st-2nd-3rd screens as DVI-DP-DVI. When i tried to keep the center DP display as the primary to keep the taskbar there, and had display #1 as left and #2 as right, the saved profile screwed the order and relative positions. But if i assign the center screen as the far left display in the "Desktops and Displays" space, and the it loads just fine.

So now i have it loading and working fine, but now if i want to move something to my left screen, i need to move it from center, across te far right, and onto the left... It clumsy, but it works.

Unfortunately, loading EF profiles still gives me triple-clone. Though setting up EF from triple-clone is a bit easier than creating EF from triple-extended. So at least a step or two are saved. I notice that if I load a profile when i have Desktops and Displays up that for a split-second, both layouts are displayed. I think CCC stumbles when turning off extened mode, which is needed before creating an EF group

Still annoying, though.

I believe I've already stated here that I've always liekd ATI hardware, but their drivers are often a pain in the ass. At least CCC is FAR better now than the last time i used it.

It is a known problem and Dave mentioned a fix in the future driver releases.
