TH2G seems to work flawlessly with this patch. Launches from desktop. No more messing with the files. Just jump in the game and set your resolution. No problems playing at 5040x1050 myself. Game seems to also run smoother. Just a heads up. :D

If you do have a problem, post up.

He's talking about ArmA2 not ArmA1. ArmA2 costs $49.99.

Thanks for the heads-up, but I think a previous patch already fixed that... also, there was already an Arma2 thread: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/10676 ;)

Anyway, in v1.05 you still have to manually edit the fovTop and fovLeft values in your .Arma2profile file for proper FOV on anything wider than 3x 4:3.
You also need an additional hotfix for the new mission, Eagle Wing - mine came with a blank readme, so for those wondering: extract and replace existing files in C:Program FilesBohemia InteractiveArmA 2AddOns.
The great news: noticeably improved performance, and no more disc required to play ! Official nocds rule. 8)

I instaleld the ArmA2 demo again and they apparently don't update demos like the retail game on steam. Still the same original issues on the demo. Unfortunate, because a demo is supposed to be represtantative of the retail game functionality.

Arma1 got updated demos in its time, so who knows. Bohemia probably plans to release a demo of the upcoming standalone expansion, too.
