Hello everyone. I'm kinda new here even though I've been browsing around for a few months and I've finally decided to register and hopefully get an answer to my question i've wanted answers for for ages :P
Well, I have a great game as mentioned in the title, some may not agree but I like it hehe. Unfortunately, on my widescreen monitor, The game appears very stretched as you'll see below.
As you can see, she is quite stretched which sucks especially during ingame cutscenes.
No matter what resolution I choose, I still encounter the same problem.
Now, Another game called the Tomb Raider Level Editor, well its not really a game, more an add-on, which uses the same engine as the Last Revelation engine. A fan created a patch to enable widescreen in it. I'll show an example.
WITHOUT WIDESCREEN PATCH ENABLED
WIDESCREEN PATCH ENABLED
With the patcher program, you are unable to mod the Last Revelation engine, only the Level Editor engine unfortunately so I cannot just patch it with the widescreen patch. The Level Editor also doubles in size (from about 700kb to 1.2mb to allow custom patches to be added etc..) and In order to use the widescreen patch, you must double the EXE size and the original Last Revelation engine is only 700kb and you can't double it using the patcher so I can't just copy stuff in a HEX editor for example.
So, am I asking for too much or is what I'm asking possible? If anyone needs something, feel free to ask. I have the Last Revelation EXE, The Level Editor EXE (one with widescreen enabled, one not) and I have the codes which are imported into the EXE to enable widescreen. (It also adds a widescreen option into the setup menu)
So if anyone could get back to me that would be great :)
Zac,
