Hey guys!

I've been doing research for about a week now on EyeFinity stuffs, and I have come to the conclusion that I want it!

Couldn't find this posted else where, but I have heard of issues when using 3 LCD's at 16:10 aspect ratio, vs 3 LCD's at 16:9 aspect ratio. Any truth to this?

Monitors: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-7956 x3

Adapter: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Cables/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=330-5521

Stands: x3

What's everyone think of running this set up? Monitors good?

Thanks~ :bowdown :bowdown

I would really advise against the the adapter, and just get some DisplayPort monitors.

It's probably not so much 16x10 vs 16x9, but more 5760x1200 being tougher on video card performance than 5760x1080.

If you're picking new monitors and are considering those 24" Dells, might as well consider the P2310H too. It's the same resolution, only 1" smaller, but comes with native DP so you won't need the DP adapter, and can rotate portrait/landscape.

I have the Accell model that looks like that Dell one and it works perfectly. Just FYI, just tried the Avatar demo and I must say it looks awesome @5760x1200, Ultra setting, DX10.....I dunno if CFX is working though. Will get the retail game and post pics for those sitting on the fence...

Perhaps if he had monitors already, but he doesn't. If you were to buy new monitors wouldn't you buy DP Monitors instead of non native DP?

When I sold my 28" HannsG for some new monitors, I am extremely glad I got one with native DP instead of resorting to the adapter.

100$ for an adapter is just silly. Its like 100$ monster cables at BB, but you have no alternatives.

Well - thanks for the suggestions guys.

What's done is done. Dell is retarded and I am unable to cancel the order I placed at 3am last night, so I am stuck with the adapter!

Not true, people have been using the VGA adapters, and I haven't heard any problems. Just a few small complaints, like color matching, and max res of 1920x1200 (practical max res), and the fact it's an analog signal instead of a digital signal. BTW, the VGA adapter can be had for an average $30. Just use the VGA as a side monitor.

The point though, is that he is getting new monitors. So your best bet is going DP Native.
