well I've spent much more time trying to fix the black and white monitor issue then I'd really care to think about already at this point. After installing and uninstalling numerous times I managed to get DVI port 2 back to color but now my mini DP port will only display black and white  I can't seem to figure out what to do, so I guess I'm going to go back to 9.11 and just wait for ATI to fix the problem.

Yeah eyefinity stays in place while uninstalling/installing the new drivers. I could not go from 9.11 -> 9.12 unless I disabled eyefinity first. I also ran driver sweeper to make sure I was golden. I booted with just 1 screen working and a low resolution so I know the drivers were gone.

After installing 9.12 hotfix I had all 3 screens back and my driver version shows 9.12 so I know it works. Still though not sure about the drivers being better for me in any way they seem worse. Now I have to track down the 9.11's lol.

I was hoping if anything it would fix the profiles for enabling/disabling eyefinity

Yea that's what I was hoping would be fixed as well. Guess not maybe in 6 months it will be working right. But by then fermi will be out and if they have something like Eyefinity I will be switching to that.

As mentioned in the other thread, the profile fix will be available in a couple of months. It hasn't been a couple of months since that was stated.

And whose to say that they won't have similar issues? And that is IF they have anything like this. You can't burn that which hasn't grown yet, give these things time. Report the issues, but don't burn down the forest.

Well I am not a fan boy and can admit that. But the thing is and everyone knows it if and when it does happen we will/would not see these problems from Nvidia. I have never ever had any problems with Nvidia cards. Right when they released physx on cards worked right out of the box click enable physx boom works. Anything just using that as an example. Don't release something that has been advertised to do certain features and then have your customers be your testers. I should not have to sit here and post back all the problems I have. They should already been found and fixed. Why didn't ATI wait to release the 58 series cards obviously because they knew Nvidia would be a little longer and wanted to get ahead of them in sales. They know if they released at the same time they would have lost many sales. So they didn't bother working out the kinks. They released a very unfinished product.

I mean really Hotkeys/Shortcuts switching profiles. Is this just something you guys just thought about doing. Why is it even a feature if you know it does not work right. All you guys that are sitting hear sticking up for this BS are a bunch of fan boys. You got ati so far up your you know what to realize or admit any problems. You know that when Nvidia does release something like this we will not see as many bugs because they are not going to release something that works half ass like this.

Dude, I was just as annoyed as you at first, but I gotta admit ATI is making a big comeback. They are churning out fixes quickly and they work, by and large.

Just saying. I like to reward hard work and success. Not just punish failure.

I would not say another 2 months from now to get a basic feature fixed is exactly quick. And yea I am annoyed I was sitting here thinking that 9.12 was going to actually fix some things but the only thing it fixed I guess is crossfire and the only real improvements people have been seeing is tri fire. Now how about you fix features that already exist now I am hearing rumors about 10.1 releasing on the 7th and something to do with 3D. Might be just rumors but is there going to be anything in 10.1 that will fix eyefinity issues or fix hotkeys/shortcuts. Or are they just going to add more broken features.

Well then we can blame the higher ups for that, and not the engineers (unless of course they gave it the go). Another issue is that Phsyx was already good to go way before NVidia bought it and implemented it. Eyefinity was not (TH2G was the closest, but by no means was everything either).

Well I got a warning from a mod so I guess someone complained and got mad or something but I was just stating my opinion and facts. I did not call anyone a "fanboy" just stated that "I" was not a fanboy.

Anyway what do you mean "by no means was everything", give me an example of something that didn't work with Nvidia cards or the drivers! I am just saying I think they should have held off to release such features till they were solid. They could have still released the cards I guess but they could have held off on the whole eyefinity thing. All the advertisements and even the Video from Sapphire showing how to hook up 3 monitors using an active adapter. But yet not everyone has had succesfull results. Now they are what looks like to be rebranding a dell adapter with a Sapphire sticker on it. So in my opinion ATI is ok with this because they have ATI Eyefinity written all over the box of the Sapphire adapter. I don't think they could do that with out the ok from ATI. So that again leads me to believe there has not been much testing going into all this.

What is ATI going to do when they actually release that adapter with FAILED results and many pissed off customers for buying into false advertisement.

Also I am starting to get flickering from my DP to DVI monitor for the first time after installing 9.12 so.... again I think I have reasons to be irritated and think I am with in reason to state my opinion on such topic. It's not like this whole eyefinity thing is a cheap solution. People have spent a lot of money to get this going, and have still not been able to get solid results.
