The game appeared zoomed in to me in triplehead.. for normal widescreen, it seems fine..

Thanks for the hack, Racer_S. I'll give it a run when the ATI issues are fixed.

I'm wondering if the angle just made it impossible to really tell. Obviously it was distorted on my screen so I just took a pic and compared that way, I assumed the cut off legs was the angle and you see more building, but it could be a bad comparison. I hate these games with no in-game res changer, a detailed report for this game would be damn near impossible.

Anyway, whether it is hor+ or not the hack makes it moot. Yay for Racer s!

Is it not possible to just load your game and take a screenshot and not have to worry about your position/angle ?
Could you post a 4:3/ws comparison ?
Are you still having fun with the game ? :P

Yeah, I guess I can load it up and take a pic of the very first screens, there shouldn't be any real movement there. If it works fine I can do a DR based on that.

As for the game I really do enjoy it. I suggest reading the destructoid.com review, it most closely matches my feelings on the game. It isn't a AAA title and it isn't perfect by any means but as a nice blend of Assassin's Creed and GTA with a unique look it has a lot going for it.

Look like the ATi patch will be out soon, so I may finally get this. Thanks to Racer_S for the fix :)

In response to Tanuki and scavvenjahh from http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32

The game is native 16:9. 16:10, 4:3, 5:4 would be Vert+, while anything higher than 16:9 would be Vert-.

:D

Good luck getting the grading system changed on that one... :nudgenudge

I know I'm being picky about it, but I really can't put enough emphasis on it. I'm not trying to say the user has to like the defaults; They can change it if they want. I just want people to know that if they have a 16:9 screen, they're getting what was intended. No hacks are needed, nothing needs to be changed to enjoy the game. 16:10 users are seeing more vertically, and they're welcome to zoom the game in a little if they want to match the 16:9 display. When you use 4:3 as the default, it implies that widescreen users are seeing less and that they need to fix it so it's right. In reality, it's the 4:3 users that need to fix the game to have it match. ;)

I added this game to my fixer, but I'm having a hard time figuring out any kind of mathematical scale I can use to get the values right.

Since it starts at 0.0 for 16:9, you can't exactly do any math with the number 0.

4:3 = -0.2575
16:10 = -0.0975
16:9 = 0.0

Those are the values I got close to being lined up with the 16:9 display.

I haven't tried any higher resolutions yet.

Edit:
What are some values that you use for TH?

It looks like a simple formula actually.

(target aspect ratio) / (16/9) - 1

(4/3) / (16/9) - 1 = -0.25
(16/10) / (16/9) - 1 = -0.1
(16/9) / (16/9) - 1 = 0.0
(48 / 10) / (16/9) - 1 = 1.7 (for 3 x 16:10)

Any TH users can confirm that 1.7 is good for them with 3 x 16:10?
I think that would be a value of 1700 on Racer's app.
