I just got an email from Matrox stating that they are almost done with a driver for Windows 7 which will be listed under GXM 2.06.

I have Windows 7 32 bit and cannot get 5040x1050 with any combination.
I used to have 5040x1050 in Vista with Nvidia 191.07 drivers along with the latest from Matrox.

For now......I guess we all just WAIT.

Yep, I am still here WAITING.

No, I have not gone anywhere, can you bring me a COKE?

Now I am getting hungry, can someone order a PIZZA while we WAIT?

Yes, that STARBUCKS is helping....but my butt is numb.

ARE WE THERE YET??

Refreshed on Matrox site, still no update......cmon, we all needed this
back on October 22nd.

No you cannot share my blanket.

SNORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been waiting since the beginning of August. Frankly, I am pretty fed up with Matrox at the moment. They have a great product but I feel they don't support it enough, there are just too many problems getting it to work properly.

I guess a big part of the problem is that the TH2G is probably a very small part of their business, which means a lot less money for support and development. I sincerely hope ATI will bring some real competition soon.

Great news, I should be getting my copy of 7 tomorrow
there are just too many problems getting it to work properly.
Such as ?
The software nightmare some of us are living to get the "bonus" wide resolutions working is only one problem, really. I'm rowing with you aboard the frustration boat though. Keep the faith !!!

Yeah, the plural was probably not necessary. The >problem< is getting it to work properly. But that is a pretty big and important problem.

I am talking about 5040x1050, of course. I have spent a *lot* of time trying to make it work, but no success. And it was so easy on XP.

For now I have completely given up until they come out with the new PowerDesk. I probably wouldn't feel so frustrated if it wasn't for the fact that I love the TH2Go (when it works).

GXM is overrated anyway, I plug in my TH2Go into a vanilla box that has no GXM and it just works. So why you need GXM? Silly Digital users :P

?

I have been running 5040x1050 on Windows 7 ever since Windows 7 was released here. In fact, I was impressed that everything worked straight out of the box (or off the net, I should say, using the latest GXM software, SGU software, and TH2G firmware, plus the latest Nvidia drivers, all downloaded).

Let me check what Nvidia driver I am running. Strange to hear problems, I assumed it all just worked for everyone on Windows 7.

EDIT: Ok, I am running 191.07 on Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Q8300 with a GTX275. I am running Matrox PowerDesk version 1.03.0020.0617 2.05 GXM/VEOS (from the About page of PowerDesk). My TH2G is firmware version 2.3.40 and Video table version 6.56 (from the same page). The Matrox PowerDesk About page reports my video driver as 8.16.11.9107 dated 9/27/2009.

I remember that I could only set my resolution to the next one down from 5040x1050 originally, but after a computer reboot I could select it from the Screen resolution page that you get when you select it after right clicking on the desktop.

That configuration does not work for everyone. I am using 177 drivers because anything above that simply does not work :T

A new GXM will deff help users like us who are experiencing problems with the latest drivers.

Yeah absolutely. I wonder why though? Frustrating for those who it's not working for, no doubt!! :(

They seem to be here, available on Matrox site. I'm away from home right now, anyone try them?

Regards
Fred
