5870 crossfired with 5x 24"s in portrait would be nice.

6000 x 1920

anyone happen to know the aspect ratio to that res?

That would be crazy, I'd like to see a physical setup where it would be actually compelling. Heck, in most games the camera is skewed so much you wouldn't see anything on those extra monitors anyway.

lol bezel insanity

oh also, what ratio is 5760 x 1200?

thanks for the answer, im not too good with math =)

5760 x 1200 = 3x 16:10 = 48:10 = 24:5
to be really comparable to the previous, it need to be brought to the same base.

lets take 10 for example, so its
31.25:10 for your 5 display config
48:10 for 3 x 16:10 ... much wider fov and less bezels, less power consumption, but also less vertical space if you need it.

I personally think the 48:10 is a bit too wide, even with my 3 19" widescreens and would find a 16:10 centerscreen with 2 3:4 or 2 16:10 portrait mode optimal, but it doesnt look good atm with ati regarding mixed resolutions/orientations, and display prices for 4:3's dont look good either.
