Try that for HD 5770. Note that this is only for the board designs with the fully enclosed (black with red accents) fan shroud.

I assume it is only for one like this?

...

I do note that the BIOS is a few days newer than what mine are:

Mine:
BIOS Date: 2009/10/02
BIOS Part Number: 113-C01001-100

Posted BIOS:
Date: 2009-10-07
Number: 113-C01002-102

Worth a try?

Dave,

I have the exact same setup but I'm using the ASUS card. I too can confirm that the blinking is happening with the Accell adapter. Is it worth trying the update with the 'other' 5770? Or should another BIOS be released for this type of card?

Dave,

I have checked my vBIOS version as you stated that the 'newer' 5770 cards (with the normal fan) allready had the latest version. I can indeed confirm that I had the following most recent vBIOS version (in my case from ASUS): VER012.013.000.001.034705

However, as direwolf stated, the problem was still there. Therefor I tried flashing my card the the latest ATI vBIOS version (so not ASUS specific), being VER012.014.000.001.034761. I had to use the '-f' (force) option to perform the flash, but luckily the card came back online.
Now, I can tell you that the 3rd display with the adapter is a lot more stable and causes much less flickering, but still is! Let's say it's workable, but not fully solved on my 5770.

I will try to contact ASUS about this, see if they could provide me with a newer version for their card. If you should have any more comments on this, I'd be happy to hear and try them out.

Has there been any "official" BIOS updates from any of the 5770 makers as yet?

I got the impression that ATI have informed them all of the DP problems, it seems they are a bit slow in reacting?

Any more news on the 5770 card? I'm still facing this problem.

So I've been trying to play nice for the last 6 weeks, I bought a BizLink which did not work and returned it to Dell. I then bought an Accell adapter, and it was even worse (did not work at all before I updated BIOS, there after it just flickered), since returning to the reseller was a major issue I tried RMA'ing it, but surprise-surprise they say its 100% fine and passes all tests. This only means their in house testing is lacking and it you need to return one, you need to return it to the reseller as the company that produces them is not going to be of any help, or admit that their product is having compatibility issues at all.

so the guy that asked about the xfx 5870 bios situation, Did you ever try the xfx bios or did you use the bios on page 6? I just went through the entire 29 page thread because I am about to purchase a pair of 5870's from new egg. Have the manufacturers updated the bios's with the 5870's? I am scared to flash a bios on 400 dollar cards. I noticed alot of the issues in this thread are going back to early december.

Anyone tested the Sapphire 104 BIOS on a non-Sapphire card yet, if so did it help resolve the issues?

Thanks,
ERIC

Hey all, just been following this thread as I setup Eyefinity.

Miraculously my setup works with the Bizlink adapter via Dell. Ordered the adapter Monday got it Wednesday (with 2 day shipping) which was also shocking.

I am running: P6Tv2, 2xHiS 5850 (bios: VER012.011.000.006.034528), 3x Asus 24VW246, Corsair 850W PSU.

Connected the adapter out of the box to USB port on motherboard, no separate power supply and plugged it into the monitor and was good to go.

The only flaky behavior is on boot-up I have to turn the monitor with the adapter off and back on since it does not come back on automatically. Not sure if someone found a fix for this or not.
