Hello there,


i did install ATI 9.7 and lastest Firmare/PDesk from matrox,
so i decided to try out new supposed available modes


it seems that i can get 3*1680 under windows xp, i can get 3*1680 under games BUT WINDOWED

but i CANT get 3*1680 neither 3*1440 working propermy in full screen under games,

it s like the rendering is ok but with another frame looping over the screens,
(a screenshot made while in full screen is always ok, i mean looks like it could work)

anyone would know a fix for that ?



btw ( if it can help) i got 3 nec 20wgx.

try the cat 9.8's. not sure if that will fix the problem but it may help.

Have you updated the TH2go firmware as well as get the latest Powerdesk? Ive been using TH2go since 9.6 and have yet to encounter any of those problems. That being said im using Vista64..

The odd game doesnt like to go full screen sometimes, Farcry 2 is an example, hitting alt+enter fixes that though.

I bought the card a week ago and I am really thrilled but I have the exact same problem.

My set up is:

2 Ati Sapphires 4870
3 Eizo 2441
Triplehead2go digital edition with the latest firmware and powerdesk edition.
Windows Xp and Ati catalyst 9.8 drivers
and desktop is set at 3 X 1680x1050@59Hz

I mainly play Lord of the rings online but I have also tested it with Age of Conan and Eve Online. The experience is amazing and truly you can't return to single monitor gaming....

Still I run the above games at windowed mode otherwise (at full screen) display becomes distorted as OP described.

I have tried with crossfire on and off, I have disabled vsync and I also tried a different dvi port on the graphics card but still I cannot run at full screen. I also tried the 3d refresh rate override (catalyst control center, display options) and set it to 59Hz but it did not help.

Finally (and I was thinking to make a thread about it) I cannot set dualhead (2 monitors running at 1920x1200 each). I have tried every resolution available but the setup wizard either fails in apllying mode(with the message "A windows error has occured") or it asks reboot in applying mode and after it reboots the same message appears when trying to apply the resolution.

The gsx compatibility tool states that my system supports 3840x1200 resolution...

Can someone help?

Well, in fact, not a single game is working properly at those 3x 1440 and 1680 in full screen .

i did try all of m y games, DOWII, CoH, EvE, Aion, L4D, Empire Total WAR ...
the issue is every time about the same, Windowed mode is ok and full screen mode isn t...

well, one could say, then play windowed a border isn t that bad,
but in fact, a lot of those games loose too much Framerate in windowed mode , and you just can t play like this...


anyone know what system do when switching between full screen / windowed modes ? this might be a beginning for a brainstorming ...
