Price cuts happen. Amazon.com also lists it as $40. I'm guessing it won't be long before Steam cuts the price too.

In the condition this game released, it's not even worth $30. The audio problems alone warranted pushing back the release date during the beta testing phase to correct the problems. I am much less impressed with Activision than I used to be.

It probably won't be too long before those get updated too.

On a game prices related note, news has come out that Modern Warfare 2 will be sold over ere in the UK for £55 for consoles (~$90). Fifty five quid ! For a bog standard boxed copy! Luckily the PC version has stuck at the normal £30quid. The prestige edition with the NVG is going for 120quid 8)

£55 for consoles (~$90).

How close is that tied to the exchange rate?

I mean if the dollar and pound go one to one would the price go up to 90? Or is the difference in price primarily the result of the exchange rate?

Sorry I meant is the difference in price from the US and UK because they are two different countries or because of the exchange rate?

Supposedly Activision are trying to justify it on the poor exchange rate. Don't think anyone quite believes them though. More like they know it's an incredibly popular game, maybe the most anticipated title this year for some, and so are milking it for everything they can.
