IME NVGs are great for spotting shooting stars, I'd get one for that alone!

They don't have to be quality for that, just work. However after the CoD:WaW hip flask that didn't open I think people might be a little bit cautious.

still... seems a bit expensive for what the average joe will do with it

Hey,m finally a special edition that may be worth a larger price. Metal boxes and artwork be damned!

I'm sure they're pretty cheap for NVg, but even cheap ones can be handy for camping and prowling aroudn the yard.
