hi people, im kinda noob here but i recently read that mark b posting about the new catalyst 9.7 releasing sometime later this month july but was wondering, i have a single 4870x2 with catalyst 9.6 drivers and updated firmware on my triplehead as well as new powerdesk 2.10 tho i cant seem to get my 3 acer x193w+ monitors to display 5040x1050 res... it says, no display signal, i connected my DVI cables but even at 3840x1024 res, the dvi cables wont show - it says no display signal, then i have to use the regular vga cables with dvi adapters to display 3840x1024 - really frustrating i mean it gives me the option in display properties but the main question is, does this catalyst 9.6 support the high res? or is it my acer monitors holding me back? these lcds support upto 1680x1050 res, im just itching to try out a higher res up from 3840x1024 that im currently using.. do i have to wait for catalyst 9.7??? anyone please!!!

thanks in advanced for reading this, hopefully this will help answer other folks problems.. maybe id have to just be patient for catalyst 9.7 but hoping for a work around!!

The way I read his post, besides Cat9.7, their will also be a new th2go firmware update. My desktop has 5040x1050 listed with 9.6 but only gives me two screens with a bunch of weird lines on them. I think it's a power thing that the new matrox firmware and 9.7 will fix. btw, I'm on Vista 64.

thenjwaslike your avatar is far too big. From the profile page ...

its width can be no greater than 168 pixels, the height no greater than 105 pixels, and the file size no more than 10 KB.

Please change it to fit within these rules. Thanks :onethumb

I have PM'd you about this as well.
