If it is, hope they got surround support for it.

Why does this remind me more of TransFormers than MechWarrior?

Maybe the detailed urban setting? I remember MW2 being just terrain any polys.

The 3DFX version was more detailed. So was Mercs, and the later MechWarrior games. The urban setting here doesn't seem to ring true to the Battletech universe.

Mech 4 Mercs had quite a few missions set in urban environments.

I want more Mechwarrior games... hope this is good. (And uses unobtrusive DRM, if at all...)

I know, and so did MechWarrior 2 and MechWarrior 2 Mercs. It's just that those urban settings as I remember them had a used future look to them, while this shot looks like a random intersection in San Fransisco.

Anyway, a new MechWarrior would be awesome... if it's a true MechWarrior sim with overheating, weight, customization, at least 150 button commands, etc. What I don't want to see is another MechAssault game with mindless arcade style shooting, force fields, lava guns, ammo powerups, and wrench icons that heal you instantly.

I've not actually watched that vid as I can't get it to load. It starts buffering then hangs. Don't have the patience for that. ;)

Completely agree.

The thing I would like is some sort of mod toolset. There were times I'd have loved to have been able to play MW4 (& MW4Mercs) with a mech totally loaded out beyond all reasonable expectations. ;)

Thank goodness me and my friend aren't the only ones psyched about this. Still need to be a little cautious until they release a title at least, I suppose.

cool a new mechwarrior game
it's been a long time since mechwarrior 4

fully agree with The cranky hermit & Paradigm Shifter
I hope it will be 100% simulation but I'm not against easing some controls for a larger audience. (for example autocentering of torso with movement , and auto strafe)

also concerning surround support, it's nice but in the end everyone could be limited by cockpits view, as far as I remember some mechs have pretty narrow cockpit views ;)

Cool. I enhopyed three and four and was a little bummed when i read MS games cancelled MW5 back in 2005 or some thing...

Neat.

That clip reminds you of Transformers because Michael Bay is a shitty film maker that only really makes trailer clips. BOOM! KRAAAHH!! PA-CHOW!!!!
