Hi,
Doing it and its pretty effective.
In this case there are some pros and cons.
p:
*Using rFactor with three camera configuration (and rotational offsets matching the game config - 90 degrees). The images suggest the side views are wierd, they are not, they are correct for the driver.
*Scale of monitors offers effective human-object scale for open topped race rars. Larger or smaller by any significant amount would change the 1:1 human scale we are striving for.
*rFactor, is mostly level driving, horizon discrepancies due to offset cameras is negligible.
*TH2Go Bezel management takes care of gap between screen surfaces.
*Head tracking only needs translation updates for virtual camera, not orientation (orientation could be still mapped to virtual microphone for accurate headphone use).
c:
*Monitor trolley mounts prevent bezel abutment as well as large bezel size (actually quite appropriate in cars and trucks).
*TH2Go limits using native resolution of monitors.
*This implementation is correct only for this camera configuration AND the fact that our camera's pitch is fixed.
*Normal TH2Go gaming with single wide camera view is pretty strange.
