Hey there,

I'm new here ,

Just got a TH2GO digital edition
And got myself 3 x Samsung 226BW 22" screens.

Hardware using atm :

Intel Q9450
4 GB 800mhz
Ati 4870X2

I got some issues that needs to be solved

First of all, i cant get only One screen tot 1680x1050 @ 57HZ (forced with powerstrip) without forming the screen a bit out of sight (like scrolling left /right up/down)

It will only line up good (the sight in general) @ 60Hz

If i try 3840x1024 turning to 5040x1050 due too custom resolution i made with settings i found here on one of this topics , it gives the same , the resolution works, but parts of the image are outside horizontal and vertical ...

Is this due to the Ati drivers or ? I used 9.2 catalyst and now 9.3 catalyst

Help is apprieciated... thx everyone for any comment

If you have this scrolling effect when you set the res to 5040x1050 ...then it's not working. I had this same effect but when i looked in power desk it states that im running 3840 x 1024 so.....if you look closely it seems that the image is streached or blown up past the desktop. Im just wondering how many of these displays, in the working list, really work without this scrolling effect? You will also notice the scrolling in games as well....and it sucks!
You will know it's right when the image fits the screens with out the scrolling.

Sounds like Matrox needs a hardware change so that the masses can enjoy 5040 x 1050 60hz.

ATI cards aren't supported at 5040x1050. This will probably explain a lot of the issues you are having.

Sounds like Maxtor needs a hardware change so that the masses can enjoy 5040 x 1050 60hz.

It's a limitation of DVI, not Matrox. The only hardware change they could make is to DisplayPort. And I wouldn't hold your breath on that.

What about Dual DVI inputs? What about...The center display on a pass threw on one DVI and the other 2 displays ran off the TH2G off another DVI output? What about a male to male DVI adapter (with no cord). Making it less resistance from the gfx card to the TH2G. I just fail to beleave that the problem is in the DVI cord. Just because Maxtor say's it is....Dosen't mean that it's true!

Hate to point the obvious but it's not matrox that says it is, the dual-link dvi specs say it is.

So i only have the option for buying a Nvidia related graphics card ?

There isn't a solution planned in drivers for Ati cards?

And since there are sli drivers u got to use that are older, its the best thing to buy gtx295 or 2x Gtx260 ...?

Any advice would be apprieciated.

Been looking at setting this up myself lately.. If you look through the forum posts here you will find that apparently ATi cards will run 5040x1050 as long as they are not in crossfire (this apparently includes the X2 cards) and you modify the powerstrip .ini file.

Someone over on the Entech forums has posted that he has actually got 5040x1050 working fine but couldn't get it working on the X2 currently. Hopefully it gets fixed up soon as I am dying to get into this myself, but we are going to have to wait for ATi to resolve this in a driver update it seems.

Here is a link to the settings he used and how he set it up (but ended with the same results as you did when using an X2 card)

Hey can you put your full system specs in your sig- especially your OS

And are you:
Able to get 5040 in the desktop?
In games?
And I don't understand what you mean by misaligned... can you explain exactly what you get in desk top and games?

I guess you are not talking about what happens if you don't use bezel management but that is what it sounds like to me
