That's a shame about the stretch. I played teh Russian rip copy and though tit looked pretty fyun adn was considering picking up a NA copy.

But there's no way i could play with that stretch for more than a minute or so, so I guess I'll be hodling off and hoping for a community fix.

These cross-platform games are getting worse and worse for us PC gamers..:(

Looking forward to a FOV fix.

If there ever is one, I'll buy this game cause it is pretty good.

Found out Noviy Disk was the Russian dev responsible for porting the game, but you're probably not going to have much luck there unless you speak Russian.

Aspyr Media is publishing the game in North America. If anyone wants to see the widescreen fixed, please submit a support ticket to Aspyr ( http://support.aspyr.com/ )

So I got a reply from Aspyr tech support, but it seems pretty much like a shove off:

Thank you for contacting Aspyr Tech Support!

I figured out what your problem is. You're running Windows Vista 64 bit and that's an unsupported operating system. I'm going to check a Vista 64 system here and see if I can find a work around for the problem, although since you are not supported we can't guarantee it.

Aspyr Tech Support

The official system requirements do state that 64bit OSes are unsupported, but I strongly, strongly doubt the problem is specific to Vista x64. Usually x64 problems are just that the game won't run at all. I've never seen a 64bit compatibility problem manifest as the aspect being all messed up.

This seems a lot like the support rep was looking for any easy way out, noticed I listed Vista x64 as my OS - bam, instant excuse.

However, I can't claim with 100% certainty that 32bit OSes have the same problem since most people that have reported the problem don't list there OS. Can anyone who has this problem please list their OS so I can go back to them with some definite evidence?

Also, just in case, can you try running the game in XP compatibility mode?

I have the Steam version. Tried creating a desktop shortcut and changing the compatibility mode and nothing changed.

This.

They're trained to do that... any way they can find to show you are outside requirements or supported configs they will do so, then tell you that is your problem.

If you created the shortcut from the Steam itself - that won't work for assigning a compatibility mode. Shortcuts created from Steam are actually shortcut to Steam itself that tells it to launch the select app.

You need to browse to your Steam folder and create a shortcut for the actual executable.

Yup pretty much what I figured, although a responded that it's occurring on 32bit OSes and then the support rep responded that he just tried it on a 32bit system and couldn't duplicate it, which is also likely BS.

In any case, still worth a chance just to try compatibility mode.

That didn't change anything either. I got a similar reply from them so I guess I'll send a message back.

Is ANYONE playing this on a 32bit OS? If so, can you send in a ticket for the same issue and see what they say?

Thanks.
