Whilst waiting for the demo ... I made a quick widget ... :D
Download and use at your own risk ...
HAWX-X.rar
Once it is unzipped just double click the .exe to start it ...
Right click the icon in the system tray to get some options ...
Hide/Show ...
Close ...
Preferences ... gives you some options such as ...
Opacity ...
Hue Shift ...
Shadow ...
Start with windows ...
Z-order ...
The widget may close when you set preferences ... just start it up again and it will have saved your settings.
Drag and let go to see it move across your screen ...
(Unfortunately I can't get it to change direction when it bounces off the edge of the screen)
Click it to visit the HAWX forum ...
Drag right ...
Drag Left ...
Works over any background ... with or without a shadow ...
Should the widget disappear off your screen ... do a search for a folder called ... HAWX-X ... in XP it is found here ... C:Documents and SettingsYOUR_NAMELocal SettingsApplication DataStardockDesktopXGadgetCache
Delete this folder and next time you start the widget it will be in the default location.
Not tested in Vista but it should work as others I've made do.
