Hiya. I figured since this is the "hardware and tech support" section that it'd be the best place to put this.

Tax time is upon us and I'm looking for a lcd to replace my half-dead Westinghouse LCM-22w3. Half-dead being that it won't display over the DVI port anymore. I looked at the list of known working monitors over at this link -> http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9399] and after comparing a few models to what's currently offered at Newegg, I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm honestly not sure what I should order in relation to quality and how compatible something would be with the TH2G.

I should have my tax refund money within 2 weeks, but I also have a big lan [url]http://www.fites.net
coming up at the end of February. I'd definitely like to order a new 22" as soon as I get my money, but it'd be pointless to order something and then find out it doesn't work all that well. I'm looking to spend anywhere between $150-$250, but I'm completely unsure as to what I should get and if something is worth the money I'd be completely willing to go a few dollars over my intended amount.

Could people throw out some recommendations to me?

I see things like:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001254

They're all pretty wallet-friendly, but I'd like to hear actual testimonials from real people who deal with the TH2G on a regular/daily basis that run their windows desktops and/or games at 5040x1050. Can anyone help me?

p.s. I could go to work and buy a new 22w3, but that would be $250 (before the MASSIVE 10% team member discount )and I'm trying to keep things as cheap as possible before I use that as a last resort.

I'm too am looking for a 22" monitor and have researched a few more options. I don't have personal experience but refer to others that do in
2009-01. The best 22" widescreeen all round monitor.

You'll see I reject the Samsung 2243BWX and I have a single favourite. I haven't considered your other moniters.

Excellent. That was exactly the kind of reply I was hoping to find, thank you. If I don't get any other recommendations, then the Viewsonic VX2262wm is what I'll be getting. It currently runs $200 at newegg.

Can anyone else throw in any valuable input? I believe I have a week until I get my money (according to the IRS website).
