It's a Steamworks game, it won't launch without patching if you're online, as far as I know. Best way to make sure though would be to verify your game cache, which is in the properties menu for the game in Steam.

I'll load it up now to make sure the option is still there though... gimmie a sec.

It says "V.1.05" in the lower right corner.

Also, "Widescreen" is the last option in the advanced menu, make sure you are scrolling down.

Thanks SV. Could you post a screenie of this Advanced Options menu and Widescreen toggle ? I don't have the game so I can't really update the demo DR to retail/patched status myself.

It's pretty simple to find.

First, the Version is here on the main menu:

Next, in the advanced menu under performance you want to toggle this widescreen entry:

Mine is on because I have a 16:9 monitor, but you want yours off.

Does it actually make any difference whatsoever if your monitor is 16:9?

I suppose it's simply On by default.
So the toggle is in OptionsAdvancedPerformance, right ?

No difference at all in 16:9.

And yes, options>performance>advanced.
