I was curious about that myself, or any stereoscopic 3d TH2Go setup for that matter. A question I have about it is if it would create a single 3D image across the 3 TH2Go screens or would it be a separate image for each monitor and how would that affect viewing it. Just FYI, here is a link for a bundled nvidia 3D box with a 120hz refresh lcd.

I was *heavy* into 3D for years using my Sony 24" CRT. To this day, the most amazing thing I've seen on a computer screen was World of Warcraft in 3D. Something about the art work combined with their flawless implementation of an ENTIRE 3D universe (including the fact that the labels floating over the players heads are actually rendered in 3D and not 2D so they scaled in distance along with the player) made it an incredible experience. Hard to explain except that the toons actually looked "alive".

The downside of 3D, however, was compatibility was even worse then triplehead. Widescreen, at least, is much more mainstream than the infintesimal amount of people that use LCD 3D shutter glasses.

Add the fact that you are basically rendering twice the amount of information (a full render for each of your eyes), and you would need hardware that is probably not out yet to fully utilize 3D over three monitors.

I run an SLI 280gtx setup which handles Fallout3 in triplehead nicely... but I wonder how it would do in 3D.

Ultimately, I'm rooting big time for this new Nvidia 3D push. In the past, 3D was always the ugly stepchild of Nvidia where drivers often lagged a year behind the latest drivers.

Hopefully this catches fire....

If you want to try anaglyph 3d then grab the drivers from z3d. they are meant for their monitor but work pretty well with others. The setup is a bit of a pain until you understand what you are trying to do. It only works with direct x, not opengl games.

if you plan on using that 3D glass thiny with triplehead setup

FORGET ABOUT IT!

AFAIK. the Th2g outputs at 60hz and that 3D shutter glass requires 120hz

so even if you have a 120hz monitor it will be getting a 60hz signal.

Yep, 120HZ is not happening anytime soon with the TH2Go.

the 3x widescreen @ 1050v setup is at 57HZ even, causing problems on its own for several monitors.

Doh! Forgot about the 60hz limitation of the TH2Go.

What about SoftTh? Don't get the SLI benefits.... but might overcome the 60hz limitations....

I`ve had a pair of eDimentional for 4-5 years, but have not used them
after I sold my CRT screen. The main problem with to low Hz, like 60Hz,
is that you only get 30Hz to each eye. If I remember correctly, any setting
below 75-80Hz makes the screen appare to flicker a lot, and giving you a
headace. But it is awesome and works with every game I`ve tried.

(If you have a CRT and want to by these, be aware that youre Hz will drop
as you raise youre resolution)
