Hello!

So after running TH2GO Digital for a while on 182.50 nvidia drivers and and old PowerDesk for the past half year, I decided to check if there is anything new (fixed) today and if I can actually update all the software. To my liking everything works fine - downloaded the latest nvidia drivers, latest powerdesk and upgraded the firmware on my little box. So it runs fine 5040x1050@59Hz no problem.

Now to my questions;

I would occasionally like to run a single monitor at 1920x1200 for some games, which do not support 5040x1050 (Shattered Horizon & some other), but netiehr PowereDesk or the nv-control panel give me this option (the closest one is 1920x1080 @ 29Hz). Is there a way to force this resolution somehow through the nvidia control panel or something similar and if possible could I make the middle monitor the primary one for this resolution?

Another little problem is that after I updated powerdesk, I can't somehow set the center monitor to be the main one, and every time I maximize any window it stretches it through all tree monitors. When I try selecting "Desktop Management" under PowerDesk it says "No Matrox hardware detected". This is really a minor albeit annoying problem, so if anyone can help here too, would be most appreciated.

Thanks for any help in advance

EDIT: Forgot to list my specs if needed.

eVGA GeForce 295 (Driver 196.21 (8.17.11.9621))
3x Samsung SM 2443BW (1920x1200 native)
Windows Vista Ulimate x64
PowerDesk v 1.06.0026.1022 2.06 GMX/VEOS

Well A couple things to try.

First make sure your TH is connected to a USB on the computer.
Next update the firmware of the TH2Go.

After that try again.

Thanks for the reply;

Yeah noticed that the device was not detected. At first I thought that's a generic message, or a software error, but then I disconnected TH2GO from the USB and plugged it back in and it worked. Thing is, now I have to do this each time I restart the computer, somehow TH2GO wont be detected until I unplug and plug back in, and it's really annoying. Any cure for that?

As said, I downloaded the latest Firmware/Powerdesk from the Matrox site. My other PC components are up-to-date too, I just downloaded & installed all the latest drivers & BIOS for the motherboard. Tho, truth be told, TH2GO was detected fine just a week ago, don't really know what changed to cause this problem.

To complete the specs:

ASUS Rampage Formula X48
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (stock)
4GB Mushkin PC2-8500 "Extreme Vantage" 1066 DDR II
720W Enermax Infinity PSU

Do you have it connected into a USB Hub? Or do you have a lot of USB devices connected to your computer?

It may be a power issue, where you may need to power cycle the triplehead on reboot / shut down.

Also I know this is the best solution for getting 1920x1200 (which is weird because i get it in powerdesk and I have 1080p monitors) but you can hook the VGA up on the middle monitor to a secondary output on your card and just swap out when you want to use it as your main monitor for games (I do this when I use my HDTV for gaming on Games that don't do Triplehead).

Not sure if you got this sorted or not, but as a first port of call, I'd be moving the USB cable to a different USB port on the PC and see how it goes.
