Oh wow, I didn't know they were going that far with it; I just assumed they were selling old games, with any DRM stripped off. Nice to see that they're going the extra mile.

Just got into the beta. Here's their current lineup...and almost all games are $5.99! :D

Will report back later.

Oh wow, I might have to play M.A.X. again, I love turned based war games. I wonder if I can find anyone on multiplayer!

Stonekeep is one of my favorite first person dungeon delvers.

Giants gets buggy near the end, I wonder how much they worked on it?

The MDK games are great fun.

Man, these are all Interplay games. I miss Interplay... their tagline used to be "By Gamers. For Gamers." but I don't think any gamers work there anymore.

Thanks for the post, General...I've signed up for "early access" but I'm sure I missed the special 2 for 1 deal.

Gotta love the concept. It's like iTunes Plus or AmazonMP3...for games. And very reasonable, too.

obviously not otherwise Freespace 3 would be in development. There hasn't been a good space shooter since then.

Doesn't bode well. They've already squelched on one of their claims (min. 3.99, current min. 5.99)

The only games in the list I might have considered don't warrant 6$ a piece.

:? Every bit of pre-release and current advertising I've seen has listed all their games at either $5.99 or $9.99. Personally I think those are very reasonable prices, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the majority at $6. Where did you see $3.99?

I've purchased and downloaded my first title. Site is very easy to use and the download was fast (nearly maxed my pipe). The installer is simple and it makes no internet connection during or after installation (no authentication).

I'll be grabbing another title with my freebie code and report more later. These guys might end up getting priority access to my wallet...

I recall it as being 3.99 to 9.99 don't know why, maybe I just glazed over it too much in 'too good to be all true' mode.

Maybe my retro feelings just aren't clouding my judgment enough to bite but I don't consider those old games worth 6$ a piece.

Glad it works for you, it doesn't for me.

Retro feeling has nothing to do with it. A good game is a good game regardless of when it was made, and $6 for a good game is practically free. Dismissing all games made before an arbitrary date as "worthless old games" is really bad judgment.

I'm quite impressed by some of the games they have in that list. It includes a few that I'd have like to have bought, but never got around to buying.
