Could anyone give me instructions for how to hack Sonic Heroes to run in 1440 x 900 resolution?

I have seen this post

http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/8368

I am rather inacomplished at hex editing but do have access to an editor and can carry out a simple task if someone gives me steps to follow.

What do I want to be entering for 1440 x 900 in hex if I want to replace the 800 x 600 mode? (20 03 , 58 02)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tamlin!

Here's the solution:

Get my UniPatcher:

http://www.wsgf.org/article/squ1zzy-unipatcher

Download a unpacked executable of the game:

http://m0003.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sonic_heroes.shtml

The file you need is:

Sonic Heroes v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE #1

Take over these exact settings:

Patch it and set the resolution in game to 640x480. The game will start at the resolution set using the UniPatcher.

Thank! That works great.

Why does the gameburnworld file have to be used rather than the original?

The original is probably encoded, and also probably has an auto-hashing mechanism to make sure it hasn't been monkeyed with.
