There certainly are a few kinks. It is a real gem, but a flawed gem. :D Ok, that makes it sound worse than it is. I did have to download someone else's save files though, as the 'recovery mission' has broken for a lot of people.
Which mission is "recovery" (#)?

I have to say I think that I'm on mission 4 now (haven't kept track, lol).

It's amazing, but when the first ice is introduced my graphics card seemed like it died. It was running really, really slowly.

Ah well, who knows. We'll have to see how the full-out-ice levels play out.

Recovery is the one where you need to rescue the Asian scientist from the village school.

I am running Crysis at 1680x1050 with most settings at "medium" (except shader, etc.). I am getting decently acceptable framerates, and very few "bugs". I am at the "Assault" phase now. My hardware:

Athlon 64X2 4200+
2 GB dual channel DDR400
Maxtor SATAII 200GB HDD
evga 7600GT
Windows XP Home SP2

If I had a high-end card, I am confident I could run everything at "high" settings. Even with most settings at "medium", graphics are amazing. I can't run the shader at anything higher than "low" though, because framerates become unacceptable slow. I am looking for a good deal on an HD3870.

AH! That was a fun one :D

I'm on "tremors" now and I have to say, it's going to be challenge to do some of these later levels on Delta difficulty. Those helicopters are killing me when I just have a SCAR :(

I can run Medium @ 1920x1200 on my Opteron rig and Medium @ 1680x1050 on my single core 3400+ rig. I've not tried turning it up higher than that - on both systems the framerate is perfectly playable, although not as high as I would prefer.

...

I'm stuck on the 'take out the jammer on the ship' after taking out the AAA defences in the harbour. :(

...

Replaying this on Delta is gonna be a bitch, I agree. I've died plenty already in a couple of spots. Now I remember why I hated those stealth-ninja in F.E.A.R so much.

I've gone 1920 x 1200 at High, and turned on 16X AA runs sweet.

E6600

Ah, that spot I vividly remember replaying a good amount.

The next mission messed me up in my "conventional" fps thinking :D

OK, since swapping out my X800XT for the X1950Pro I am now able to run High textures, Medium shaders, shadows, water, sound, volumetrics, Low everything else, with 8x AF at 1200x900 averaging 30 FPS.

For anyone running Low I highly recommend going with a lower res and bumping shaders to Medium if you can because it's definitely the single most significant improvement in visual quality.

If you need to you can use some performance tweaks from the Tweakguides.com Crysis guide as well as removing blur effects. I have found you cannot completely remove radial blur though, which is one of my main dislikes about the game.

I may experiement with setting hud_chDamageIndicator to 0 though.

I'm on the same place as you! I have saved it stood ontop of the crane where Psycho is standing. If you put on speed, you can run and jump off the top and land on the ship, although i haven't yet managed to land without dieing lol, but imna keep on trying until i do it.

See this is why games take me so long to complete, i'll happily spend an hour trying to land this jump alive. (Video of the view from the crane) (And all me crysis screenshots n vids)

Can i make a request for the original default .cfg files in the CVar folder as well if anyone has em? They're only a few kb, if someone could zip em up and upload them somewhere for me i'd really appreciate it as i've messed around with mine too much and generally borked it up. Ta :P
