[quote]Everyone....stop complaining about graphics.
1.) That is probably DX9 and all the screens you usually see are DX10.
2.) They're not going to put a heck of a lot of detailed models and bitmaps into a beta, that would just increase the download size.
1) The DX10 version doesn't look much different from the DX9 version. They have some more physics (such as the shooting down of trees) and day/night changes. Otherwise it's really still just the same. I've said it before, DX10 isn't much of a difference visually. In fact, if you put the _exact_ scenario between DX9 and DX10 in images, you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
That's mostly true for the single player, however DX10 is really shining in Multiplayer. Because of its advanced handling of physics, DX10 has the capability of having destructible environments online, where as DX9 can not, it just is not feasible because of how inefficient DX9 is. You'd need a super server with super computers, and even then it would simply lag out.
I find myself noticing the crisper shadows and the finer details in the foliage when comparing DX9 to DX10 videos. Not a huge difference visually, but the smaller details are always nice when paid attention to. :)
I've also read DX10 is supposedly more efficient all around, brining in the possibility to have higher quality graphics, more action going on, while processes remain relatively low. Cool beans.
