Sure, these games will run fine at THG with a 8800GTX.

I had a BFG 8800GTX 640mb and TH2GO but have recently upgraded to a GTX 275 798mb.

The 8800 was fine but I had to turn down a few settings to get reasonable FPS, it did do the job though.

i have the 8800gtx and th2g. I havent noticed any difference in framerate. The reason I say that is when I reformat sometimes, I forget to turn on SLI, so i'm running one card and not noticing enough lag for me to think something is wrong with the game. TF2 should be good as well. Hope that helps you out.

That I know of all 8800 gtx are 768mb, only 8800 gts has 640mb, might explain the performance problems and why a gtx275 would improve on it.

I ran an SLI 8800GTX rig until very recently. Ran games like Crysis just fine in TH2G resolutions.

My 8800GTX definitely shows its age compared to newer cards in the GTX200/4800 series in Team Fortress 2. (But its still most definitely playable)

Guy's, I'm running dual 8800GTX's in SLI and have been for a while, I use a Tagen 1100Watt PSU.

I'm getting the following messages... can anyone help. I tried replugging in the two 6 pin power connectors over and over as I've read they can be loose. Any corrections?

Here is the message

"The NVIDIA System Sentinel is reporting that the NVIDIA-powered graphics card is not receiving sufficient power."

followed by a message stating it will lower the performance of the card... WTF... ?

Thanks as always!

My last card was an 8800GTX, and yes, it can play TF2 just fine at 3840x1024.
Should do ok with 5040x1050 too.
