Hey everyone,

Last night I had a brief power blackout, and when I turned my main PC back on only the single screen came up to my surprise. Upon loading windows I had noticed the monitor had uninstalled itself and was now just listing standard resolutions. I attempted reinstalling the PDSE software but it kept coming up with an error on the 3rd last phase of the installation stating a 'windows problem' and didnt say anything else.

I have attempted different graphics drivers, many restarts, clean sweeps of drivers leaving no traces, and nothing is working.

I found on the forum a way to get the monitor reading as a matrox device again so I have done that, now it lists the TH2GO as the screen and the latest drivers for my graphics card. Still no options to go widescreen resolutions. During one of the many reinstalls it had listed a 4000+x900 res that spread across three screens, but after another reinstall it disappeared leaving 1600x1200 as my largest choice.

Under troubleshooting "GXM Modes Detected" is listed as No which is where my problem lies but I have no idea on what to do next.

*UPDATE* I attempted installing the software but choosing single display but still asking it to install wide screen modes and the installation didnt show an error (because it wasnt attempting to move into 3840x1024 as normal) but it still says GXM modes are not detected and I still cannot change to a widescreen res.

*UPDATE 2* I just switched USB ports and now it says I dont have Dual Link DVI support anymore either. I don't know whats going on, I switched back but still says I dont have dual link DVI support (which is a load of shit).

Any help is appreciated!

If mucking about with installs and reinstalls of everything doesn't work, you really only have 2 other options: clean reinstall your OS or try your TH on someone else's PC. Maybe your OS is totally stuffed/corrupted or maybe your TH box is?
I can't think of anything else...I had a HDD die and reinstalled everything from my backup however one mod installer just wouldn't work, no matter what. I had to download a fresh copy and start again. From this I am saying power cuts/surges/brown outs/black outs/whatever can leave real weird errors. So OS install maybe the only option....

With every copy for every bit there's a chance (something like 1 in a million) that the bit copies wrong. That's normal behaviour for hard drives.

Usually not a problem but sometimes it can create problems.
