The FOV correction solution has the same proportion problem as in Max Payne 1, but on the plus side, it's a lot simpler to perform. Just go to the game directory, and open up the file "MP2_init.ras." Search for this line:

DefaultFOV = 70; // degrees

Change it to:

DefaultFOV = 85; // degrees

Now launch the game, select a widescreen resolution, and you're set.
