Hey guys ...

I am working on a fix for the dialogue being cut off in TripleHead ...
I think I am about there ... :D
It was quite complex to do ... so I can't really explain without typing out pages and pages ...
So ... I now just have to figure out how to get the files and a "how to" explanation to you guys that want it ...

Give me a day or so ... or may be just a few hours ... I'm not sure ... but soon ... :D

It is also fixed for the PDA and the tradings descriptions of items ... :D

BTW ... as the zoom for the binoculars doesn't work so well just use the F1 key to turn off the FOV tool ... to zoom ... and turn it back on when you have finished ... :wink:
This also saves having to switch to the binoculars every time you want to use them.

i know it's not an easy task sometimes, i also tweaked some games in the past and as i'm also a fan of IL2 Sturmovik, i learned really soon how to get the max out of XP/scripts/.ini files/Java mix and more...;-)

Really thanks man, i'm sure at the end you'll be proud of yourself.. it can be difficult but what's the most important is that someone takes the time to do it... so many sometimes ridiculous bugs big companies don't even try to fix (it's not my game,it's driver related...yea, drivers say the same...)

And i'm a bit afraid of the Thead support with these bugs in the future...

Hey ... I think I did it ... :D

All the text that was cut off should now be there ... :D

Let me know if this isn't working as it as only been tested on my system.
If there is something I have missed just let me know and I'll see if I can fix that too ...

Here is what to do ...

Firstly go to ... C:Program FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl ... (or whever you installed the game)
Make a backup of the file ... fsgame.ltx ... just in case you need to put things back as default.
Now ... open the file ... fsgame.ltx ... with WordPad or NotePad ...

Change the line ...

$game_data$ = false| false| $fs_root$| gamedata

To ...

$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata

And save.

Now download this ... STALKER TH Text Fix.rar

Copy the folder called ... gamedata ... from the RAR file to ... C:Program FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl

That is it ...

To uninstall this ... just remove the folder called ... "gamedata" from ... C:Program FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl


NOT tested with the new patch ! ... no point loading the Patch if the FOV fix doesn't work with it ... so ... NOT tested with the new patch !.

Download this file ... Crosshair.rar

Copy the ... system.ltx ... file from the RAR and put it here ... C:Program FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobylgamedataconfig

AAArgh! Why oh why did I install the patch? If it wasn't already then it is now confirmed that Racer S's FOV Hack doesn't work which by default means your wonderful edits doesn't work either.

Any news on updates from our friend Racer?
