Hi dingles ... welcome to the WSGF ... :D

The only two resolutions for widescreen TH2G are ... 3x1280x720 and 3x1280x768.
These are both 3x16:9 resolutions.

Are you sure your monitors will do either of those two resolutions ?

On my three 24" widescreens (16:10) they didn't look so good so I don't use them with a TH2G.

Your system should be fine for older games but I think many new games will struggle.

Paddy, what happens when you use a 16:9 resolution on a 16:10 monitor?

I wonder why 1440x900 (16:10 resolution that would hopefully work for 22" monitors) isn't supported, since it's only 3,888,000 pixels which is lower then 1280x1024 (3,932,160)? :?

The image stretches vertically to fill the screen.

Why Matrox didn't include a true 16:10 resolution when they updated the TripleHead2Go has always confused me. 3840x800 would match the other two choices of 3840x768 and 3840x720. Then at least you could use 1280x800 widescreen monitors without scaling the image.

I have 3 widescreen 22" monitors with a TH2G in 3840x1024 and it works great!. Just make sure any hardware you purchase supports it. Most video cards dont do 3840x1024. An those that do tend to be expensive.

... it may work great ... but doesn't 3840 stretched across the 3 x 22" widescreens look bad... ?

All new versions of (x1K) ATI cards dont... Most nvidia cards do from the very low end to high ....at least from the 5x00 series onwards.

Yep, even an ultra-crappy FX5200 will do 3840x1024. Don't try to game at that resolution, though. :)

Not at all. The only time it looks bad is when I find games that max out at 3072x768, instead of the full 3840x1024.
