And I'm assuming that those two shots are taken at the same zoom level right?

Yes, only changing the resolution.
Zooming and camera at login position.
max zooming at default value.

made 4 screenshots to better show the difference with WotLK

The 4 Screens where made at the NE starting location direkt after creating the Char.
The char isn't moved, the camera isn't moved and the camera isn't zoomed in or out.

Screen 1: Live-Server 1280x1024
Screen 2: Live-Server 3840x1024
Screen 3: Beta-Server 1280x1024
Screen 4: Beta-Server 3840x1024

The color difference is because the Beta Server is running on PDT Time and the Live Server I play on at CEST. It's a 9 hour time difference, on the first 2 screens it's 6:51 pm and on the last 2 it's 10:39 am.

The UI scaling is a bit different, but it has no effect on the rendered frame only on the interface.

Here WOW @ 5040x1050. Took a bit of tweaking, but I got it. Only problem is that it runs a little choppy. I'm going to attempt a reload of the game.

What tweaking? Is this on the beta server, or a normal one?

WOW wouldn't do 5040x1050 off the hop. I had to modify a config file to make it work. Even with the GTX280 card...I'm getting very low framerates. I'm sure the driver is still in beta. Another problem is I can't get the distance from my toon like I did when I ran 1680x1050. Even 3860x1050 works. I'm kinda thinking I'm not really getting full res.

Normal Server.

Normal server is Vert-, severely so in TH2Go. You need the beta server to get the full distance to your toon.
