hello!
I want to change the resolution.
I have a 24" monitor so I want the resolution 1920x1200
But the game doesn't give me this opportunity in the resolution menu(i can't find any choice for 1920x1200)!.
Can anybody help me?

How much memory does your Graphics card have ?
From the Demo Readme ...
vii) Why can’t I choose a higher screen resolution?

Higher resolutions require large amounts off video RAM. If GRID detects that your primary graphics card has less than 512MB of RAM, higher resolutions will be made unavailable to avoid poor performance and potential graphical issues.
I guess it is the same for the retail.

Check the screen ratio option too.

Is there a workaround to let you select higher resolutions even if your system can't handle it? Playing this game on a 24" with a resolution of 1280x1024 is terrible. I'd rather lower everything down and use 1680x1050.

I found the solution that lets you use all the available resolution and remove the restrictions!
So go to C:Program FilesCodemastersGRIDsystem
and open the hardware_settings_restrictions.xml with your notepad.
At the bottom of the file somewhere says :

You can change the "maxWidth option into whatever resolution you want(I put "1920" because I work on a 24" monitor). That's it!Now I have available all the resolution until 1920x1200 inside the game options.Of course you can also use higher or lower resolutions.

Enjoy!

Thank you for finding the correct way to set custom resolutions.

And btw, 1920x1200.... the width is 1920. I first, without thinking put 1600 for my width thinking i would get 2560x1600.

You should edit your post.

Why don't you put in maxWidth = 2560?
