hi, ive searched the forum and couldnt find it.

does elderscrolls iv : oblivion support 1600x1050 resolution.

im getting a new pc soon and want to know whether its worth getting a moniter of that size or whether a 1280x960 would be better.

It supports 1680 x 1050. I assume that's what you meant?

Native support - just select the res in the game or launcher. :)

And then press the button to the left of "1" to open the console and type:

fov 80

...or a value close to that. I think the default FOV in Oblivion is 70 (which looks alright at 4:3 in that game).

Also I noticed every time you do anything that requires it lo load it resets your FOV back to 70

Are there any updates as to wether or not 80 is the proper FOV for 1680x1050 16:10 ?

you can change the default FOV but trust me you dont want to.
it messes up the game bigtime.
screws up the menus , the HUD position and makes the cursor not respond to where it should be.

I have Oblivion running at 1680x1050 right now, very nice.

While we are aon the topic, is there a way to bind keys to certain tasks? Fov 80 looks alot better than 70, but retyping it in the console every time is annoying.
