Hello there. I was wondering if someone could help me out with an issue I'm having with the Medal of Honor Allied Assault expansion packs Spearhead and Breakthrough.

I recently purchased a Dell 2405fpw and have been very pleased with it so far, however I have run into a bit of a problem running Spearhead and Breakthrough on my machine... like - they don't run at all. They ran fine on my old 19" 4:3 CRT and the original game itself (Allied Assault) runs fine on the 2405fpw, but when I try to run either of the expansions, the game crashes back to the desktop right as the screen flips over to begin displaying the game. I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling both the expansions and the original game itself to no avail. I've tried running them both with and without the hacked cvars for widescreen display and the problem still persists (again, Allied Assault itself runs fine with or without the widescreen hacks). I'm at a loss here - anyone else experience this? Or better yet, anyone have a solution I could try (preferably that doesn't require me dropping half-a-thousand dollars on a new graphics card)? I'm running WinXP Pro with a 3.0 GHz P4, 1 Gig RAM and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 Mb.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes. All the games are patched to current: 1.11 for AA, 2.15 for Spearhead and 2.40b for Breakthrough - but the expansions still don't run. Again, all I did was swap the monitors - my CPU is the same and I never had this issue when I was using the CRT.

Sorry mate ... :(
I don't know what else to suggest ... try posting the question on the EA - Medal of Honor forum here ... http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=8

No luck, LuckMC11 thanks for the suggestion though. I'm thinking maybe there's a problem in the registry after having removed and reinstalled so many times now - but I still find messing with the registry intimidating and don't want to screw anything else up. Unfortunately, it's getting to the point now where I think a reformat of the old HD is in my future and I'm not very happy about it.
