Here's a cobbled together fix based off the AC IV plugin in Flawless Widescreen. It's not great but should do the job until someone fixes it properly. Just copy the contents into the Flawless Widescreen install directory. Once ingame you can choose the aspect ratio 21:9. Seems to work well in gameplay but the ingame cutscenes are still locked to 16:9.

If it doesn't work, try changing the aspect ratio back to 16:9 then to 21:9 and it should kick in.

Hmmm I tried your fix and it doesn't work for 5760x1080 -> 3x 1080p screens in Nvidia Surround? I looked and it seems like it does not find the process if you look at FW UI and the white area that show the read outs it does not show the regular injection info when a fix takes and updates X process.

I am using a native Uplay version of the game legit/bought.

Any ideas? Thanks

All my testing was done on the uPlay version. Can you post the console log from Flawless Widescreen? You could try using Cheat Engine as an alternative.

Here's a Cheat Engine table with the correct addresses for the aspect ratio. The calculations are obviously AspectRatioVH = Height / Width | AspectRatioHV = Width / Height.

So for example a 3440x1440 screen would have the values:
AspectRatioVH=0.418604
AspectRatioHV=2.388888

Or a 5760x1080 screen would have these:
AspectRatioVH=0.1875
AspectRatioHV=5.33333

Obviously I don't have the same setup but I've tried other aspect ratios like 32:9 and they do work using the Cheat Engine table and the calculation listed above. Also if it's being buggy when you start the game, try switching back and forth from 16:9 to 21:9 in the video settings for the new Cheat Engine values to kick in.

Here's some patchers for a permanent version of the Cheat Engine table fix I posted earlier. Just make sure you select 21:9 in the video settings. This should give you proper ultrawide when in game with the HUD centred and not stretched. Cutscenes are still 16:9, no luck finding a way to fix it without stretching out the UI. Someone with more talent than me might have a better chance.

The 2560x1080 one should fix the small black bars that the game has unpatched. It seems to be a slightly incorrect aspect ratio for that resolution by default.

Edit: Removed links to replace patcher.

Juts a FYI your AC3Remastered_UW_5760x1080.zip was instantly caught by Windows Defender as a virus. I know it is April fools day but if this was deliberate that is not cool. I have never had any of the other guys work ever do this btw. Do you have an explanation for this?

Don't get me wrong I am grateful for any of you guys trying to help the community out but if anyone is trying do some thing malicious it is unforgivable. I hope this is a misunderstanding and just a case of a false positive but Windows Defender usually never cares unless it is a legit virus. I hope I am wrong.

No intention to spread viruses believe me. I've taken down the links. As far as I can tell it's a false positive as it gets flagged as a HackTool by MalwareBytes. I believe it's due to the patcher I was using commonly be used for cracks and the like. I'll redo the patches using CodeFusion and add a VirusTotal link too.

Redid the patches. CodeFusion doesn't seem to get falsely flagged by Windows Defender like the other patcher did but it still gets flagged on VirusTotal by a few scanner engines.

I'll link to the download but gladly remove it if there is any issue with linking to it.

If anyone would like to make a patcher themselves, here are the details :-

Offset: 0231ED5C
Search pattern : B7 6D DB 3E 55 55 15 40

3440x1440
Replace pattern : 43 53 D6 ?? 8A E3 18 ??

5760x1080
Replace pattern : 00 00 40 ?? A4 AA AA ??

2560x1080
Replace pattern : 00 00 D8 ?? 26 B4 17 ??
