Hey guys, so I got an awesome birthday treat, the "Asus VG248QE", branded on the Nvidia Surround Setup as 'Ancor Communications Inc VG248'
Now, I had a Surround setup before this with 3 1920x1200 monitors. Included was the DELL 2408WFP, the HP LP2465, and the DELL U2410. The DELL U2410 is the newest of the 3. (for a sick 5760 x 1200)
I'm using the new ASUS monitor as my main center monitor. However, it is only 1920x1080. I tried setting to surround using my asus as main, DELL U2410 as a side, and 1 of the other older two as the other side monitor. What ends up happening is that the best resolution I can get with 3x surround is 3840x1025, (worse than 2x).
When i try to just do 2x1 with my asus and the U2410, it works perfectly fine (3840x1080). And my U2410 works perfectly with my 2408WFP or the HP LP 2465 (I had trifinity using these 3). But when I mix the newest computer (ASUS) with one of the 2 older ones (LP2465 or 2408WFP), everything gets fucked. If i try to do 1x2 with an old monitor and the new asus, the max resolution is 2560 x 1024 (what??).
Is there a way to use my older monitors with the new ASUS, or do i have to buy another monitor for trifinity again?
Side note: the newer Dell U2410 and Asus VG248QE both have availability for HD settings while the older monitor does not

Update: Apparently this has something to do with sync polarity, will do more research:
https://hardforum.com/threads/nvidia-su ... o.1697040/Troubleshooting: I swapped around the old 2 monitors, swapped around DVI/HDMI/Display port cables around all 3/tried using the same cables, (didn't work), and tried to install the driver of the DELL that works onto the DELL That doesn't work, but it didn't change anything
apparently the sync polarity of the monitor is off. but then how would my middle aged DELL be compatible with both sync polarities for surround?
thanks.
