Which ones? The 3440x1440 ones or 2560x1080?
I'm certain that you can run 6x2560x1080 of a fury x, it would just require 2 (although I'd recommend 3) MST HUBs. Eyefinity doesn't like when you mix connection types, so going full display port would be most recommended. It get rid of a tearing issue due to timings being different on DP versus DVI/HDMI.
I just realized you didn't say ULTRA-widescreen, what's the resolution of the monitors? This is more important than anything.
Currently using nvidia cards but if i can run 6 ultrawide 34" 3440*1440 monitors with amd i'll switch. I don't play that many games but if play it will be off one of the monitors. My plan is to use all monitors for separate windows so i don't need it to be a huge resolution like 15k*1440p.
I've read so many conflicted opinions on eyefinity so i don't really have a clear idea if this will work or not. Some say you need 2 cards and others say you can do it with 1 but then there is not enough bandwidth for these resolutions.
Well, you would need to run 2 monitors off one DisplayPort. And there are 3 of them. Using a bandwidth calculator, you get this result for 2x3440x1440:
Code:
6880 px, 1440 px, 60 Hz, 24 bit, aspect ratio 4.78, 14.27 Gbit/s.
15.01 Gbit/s, CVT-R, 18.77 Gbit/s TMDS, Pixelclock 625.520 MHz.
14.84 Gbit/s, CVT-R2, 18.55 Gbit/s TMDS, Pixelclock 618.412 MHz.
And DP 1.2a has a max bandwidth of 17.28 Gbit/s.
So... Maybe. I haven't found any post online about someone using 2 off a DP using MST. Some of the 3440x1440 monitors have MST built in actually.
