Just picked these up, figured WSGF would like to see them. It's surprisingly inexpensive - currently just $31.99 on Amazon. I put them below my desk, but they're suitable for just about anywhere - especially behind a TV or monitor (though the 16FT variant may be a little long for that). Click each image for a larger size!

Red LEDsBlue LEDs

Above, you can see the four main colors - red, green, blue, and white. You can pretty much make them any color though - there are 20 individual automatic color buttons, and fine-tune adjustment of RGB values.

Daytime WSGF Blue

Here's a shot of how they look during the daytime with the lights on - as you can see, pretty bright! This is the closest I could get them to "WSGF Blue"!

Under desk view

A view of the installation under my desk. The strip had adhesive on the back, but be careful not to pull the adhesive off with the strip covering it. The strip can be trimmed with scissors every few inches (there are markings), so it can be cut to your desired length. However, cutting it will remove the four leads on the end of the strip that can be used to connect more strips together.

IR receiver

This is the little IR receiver, I've placed it under the desk. I promise to hide that wire! I've got a little grommet coming for a cleaner installation when I drill a hole through the desk.

Remote

As you can see, the remote has a ton of buttons on it. You can program it to flash various colors, cycle between colors, adjust the brightness, etc. There are tons of options.

I've never seen so much control for an LED strip before (or any lights for that matter)!

Nice review and heads-up, thanks.

Very cool, might be more interested if I can find a way to control it automatically, for my monitors. Guess I'd need to use a microcontroller.

I'd be interested in a future update regarding their longevity if you remember.

Looks awesome!

But again, in this case and in the Topic, i get the feeling that it looks cooler if you're far away than when you're sitting in front of the computer ^^
