Hey,
I'm looking for a way to play Dota 2 on 3 monitors, but the HUD scales over half of the screen space, so it becomes unplayable. Any change in some .res file or something would help me.
I've recently changed the hud in left 4 dead 2 with the help of wsgf fov calculator, and it works perfectly, so I'm hoping to find something for dota aswell.
Please post any possible solution here

Hi, if I recall, DOTA2 uses the steam engine?
Thus uses the .res files for the HUD layouts?

It would be nice to add DOTA2 to the fov calc tool that you used for the likes of L4D2.
Unfortunately I dont know of the values that require editing to make a profile, nor do I currently have the time to dig.

The .res files should be compatible with the fov calc tool, so you could try using an existing profile for another game and see if anything works, or just load the file and manually select which values to edit.
Much like was done for all the existing profiles which where found mostly via trial and error.

Hey thanks for the response!
I've already tried the fov calc using tf2 settings, but it doesn't work. Seems that the hud is a bit different or something. It doesn't only get stretched to all 3 monitors like in l4d or tf2, but it also becomes really enormous, taking up at least half of the screen space. I'm not sure which line in hudlayout.res to edit to reduce the scale. The minimap stays the same size as if playing on 1 screen for some reason..

Here's a picture of how it looks:

What the hell :?
