I assume your running XP. No idea what your issue could be then. I have a near identical set up as you and it was just an option available to me. I installed my monitor and a few days later installed WoW. Unless WoW auto-detects your hardware and includes the setting if your capable of using it.

Hey, great forum! First time here.

I was wondering if anyone is running WOW at 1920x1200. I'm looking at one of those shiny, new Dell 24" LCD 2405 monitors.

Just got a 2405 today.. running WOW at 1920x1200.. looks awesome.. I did have to turn down antialiasing since I am running a ati 9700 pro but it still looks awesome!

I am having a problem converting the 1920x1200 tga screenshots to JPGS but it might be the shareware I am using.

my friend uses this program, he swears by it
i've never tried it though

it's just a simple converter which takes seconds to convert tga to jpg

Thanks. that seemed to do the trick. Now the 1920x1200 convert with no problems! Thanks again.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally got my problem sorted...
It seems that the problem was that I was using dual screen, and the Dell was on the VGA-port. I switched it to the DVI-port (where the Mac used to be), and 1680x1050 popped up right away...

Hi guys, im new member here...
I just recieved my DELL 2405FPW, and now had a problem with this game, world of warcraft.

my systems:
AMD64 3500+
Gigabyte K8NS-ULTRA
2gb Corsair 3200LL Ram
Asus V9999GT 6800GT 128mb

I'm using DUAL-VIEW setup, pairing with my old 15" LCD.
I run most of my games (Half Life 2 and GTA Vice city) smoothly in 1920x1200 Resolution, and I'm using DVI connection.

But I can't manage to run WOW in 1920x1200 at all, stuck in 1024x768 (my 15" max resolution), I try changing config.wtf but still the same, all restarted to 800x600 at the first boot. I also try to turn off the 2nd display, but still the same...

Plz anyone can help me?

I'm having a similar issue, I'm only able to select 800x600 or 1024x768. I'm using dual 17" monitors on a 6800GT in Horizontal Span mode. I can game in almost all of my other games at 2560x1024 but I can't get WoW to run like this, any thoughts?

Have you tried rebooting without the 2nd display attached? It may be that WoW is seeing the 2nd display and will only provide a res both monitors can handle

I think the problem is that WoW seems to only pick up the primary display...so in the display properties applet if your widescreen monitor is monitor 2, WoW won't pick it up. To fix this, I unisinstalled the non-widescreen monitor, rebooted, installed the monitor, and then all was well
