I believe I understand the meanings of these abbreviations. Hor+ means a game actually expands the FOV proportionately in width when increasing the FOV number. Vert- means that the 16:9 or 16:10 "shape" is achieved by simply chopping off the tops and bottom of a 4:3 screen, i.e. Battlefield 2, with no true increase in horizontal FOV. But are these terms actually defined anywhere on this website? I have been unable to find precise descriptions despite searching and looking through the FAQ. 8)

I thought it would have been here, but that used a bit order tag lingo. It said, "FOV+H" and "FOV-V." I've updated it.

Thanks for the quick replies and links, but if you're just navigating the website, how do you find these? I don't see them in a "definitions" section and when I use the Quick Search feature they don't seem to show up. 8)

This is obviosuly something we need to work on. Updating the FAQ would be a good start. And, getting the Wiki pages for the games up (which link to the pages listed above) would be good as well. But, only so many hours in the day (and I have a day-job as well), and only so many people who have volunteered to help with the site.
