How to get sharper pipboy text and TerminalI have gotten a satisfactory result from the pipboy where the text is sharper now, see attached picture
It is not the standard pipboy
Guide in progress... I have used a lot of time to tinker with things, I'm writing this so you might get things up and running faster than I did
The guide is two parts, one for getting the pipboy text and centered HUD, and the other one for getting better graphics and gameplay after other guides and what I have found worthwhile
I'm not sure how I arrived at the pipboy I have now, since I followed the Guide I found which is mentioned in Part 2 first, then I started tweaking the pipboy.
My System shortlistWindows 8
AMD 7970 5760x1200
16 GB Ram
PART 1 of 2 - The PipboyMods which you should have with Eyefinity/Surround (I have not tested this on Surround, if you have, and this works, please tell
) :
Adjustable Hud - aHUDPipboy Readius 1.4 (The one in the picture)Better High Detail map and Icons (It's listed in the Mod Guide on Steam linked below in Part 2, so you can skip installing it again
)
"Better High Detail Map and Icon" install prompt in Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) I chose "8k with roads" and "100% brighter" and "Clean Pipboy Screen"
*Might or might not be required, please wait with installing it. If the text was still blurry, but installing MTUI fixed it, please tell me
*

MTUI - UI ImprovementThese are the fonts I use. Place them in ..\Fallout 3\Data\Textures\fonts
***Comes from
Darnified UI, so if you are installing it later, you don't need to download the fonts here and extract them to the folder, but you might have to do the replace edit below again.***
--I generated a font myself which was much more suitable as a Terminal font, which I named
TechnicBoldFixedSysMultiMon.
I might consider making more suited Pipboy fonts too later, but I have to play the game more, I think I have tweaked the game more than I have played it now xD
Edit FALLOUT.INI which lies in My documents\My Games\Fallout 3\ ( C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 ) with the following :
You also probably need to change following in FALLOUT.INIMy pipboy in fallout.ini has only these values
[Pipboy]
fBlurRadiusPipboy=0
fBlurIntensityPipboy=0
fScanlineScalePipboy=0
bEnableFlickerPipboy=0
bUsePipboyMode=1
In FALLOUT.INI I also use these under [Interface]
iSafeZoneXWide=800
iSafeZoneYWide=15
iSafeZoneX=800
iSafeZoneY=15
and in [RenderedTerminal]
fRenderedTerminalZoom=88
If it is still blurry, like mentioned above, installing MTUI might help, but please tell me if it was needed so I can update this guide
PART 2 of 2 - Mods for better graphics, textures, filter, animation etcI basically followed this one for the general setup for my Fallout 3, before I tried to fix the pipboy blurry text
http://steamcommunity.com/app/22370/dis ... 147175081/I use most of them, except Blackened, Project Reality (Skip Project Reality//F3ProjectRealityMkI :: If you choose to use ENBSeries filters mentioned below. This is subject to change since I'm not done yet
) Faster Pipboy, More Map Markers, Fallout Remastered (Not sure why skipped this one) Stutter Remover, Robco Certified (I will try it later on perhaps
) and Optimizer Textures. Also Disabled Immersive HUD (iHUD) at the moment.
On Darnified UI, remember you have to install the hotfix too, and enable/install
Adjustable Hud - aHUD (From Part 1) after both Darnified UI and it's hotfix are enabled/installed.
What I have addedI also installed
E ENB (graphic modifications utility *preset* for the
ENBSeries), but I needed to use NSBSeries
v0.173 instead of v0.216 which E ENB included. To do that, replace d3d9.dll in fallout 3 game root you find in the folder "WrapperVersion" in the
v0.173 archive file after you have installed E ENB.
Current load order of plugins in Nexus Mod Manager (It's Importable in NMM)I have gotten everything satisfactory now when it comes to Eyefinity problems it seems, so if you have a way to large terminal, picklocking animation etc, please tell
If this helped you, please tell
Changelog
-Had to change the font for the terminal
-Generated a font for the Terminal much more suited for it, [Font] code updated to reflect that too
TechnicBoldFixedSysMultiMon (Had to reupload the fonts, as the previous copy made the game crash)
