I'm waiting for many things to get fixed like:

fix sound bug crash, i want to play at 192KHz, not 44 (is skyrims source audio even higher than 24bit 44KHz?)

better shadows

disable crosshair except for bows/ranged weapons/spells/commanding companion

disable 3D model in loading screens, hint text only, in the middle of the screen

seperate buttons for grab and use

F keys for hotkey bindings (spells, weapons, etc)

UI: fix key remapping to anything but defaults

organize items in ui by weight, value, and best(least weight most value)

compare item stats with favourited ones, not just equipped ones (no shit any of these weapons are higher than fists)

when shopping, show ammount of items owned, for exaple: lockpick 5 gold (20 owned), etc

companions:

command companion what weapon to use or at least close range/far range

command them to loot a corpse, pick locks, steal items

Interesting...
I am not experiencing any Crashes or SLI Problems... and I am working on a GTX 590 in 3D Surround...so....I don't know what the problem really is..and yes everything is set on Ultra....

For the people that are interested in playing the game with stretched hud (if there are any) I have found a workaround for reading books.

Steps:
1. Fire up the game.
2. Fire up Cheat Engine and attach to the game.
3. Go to "memory view", select a any "line" and press CTRL+A.
4. In the Auto assemble window paste this code:
Code:

   alloc(newmem,1024)
   label(returnhere)
   label(exit)

   newmem:
   mov edx, [0018FC84]
   mov [eax+10],edx

   exit:
   jmp returnhere

   "TESV.exe"+D3D7CC:
   jmp newmem
   nop
   returnhere:

5. Hit Execute.
6. Use the provided trainer to select between stretched HUD or Reading books ("-" key to Stretched HUD, "+" key to change to "book reading mode" prior reading a book)
7. ALT+TAB and play.
8. Two trainers are included:5040x1050 & 5760x1080 : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MVAU8T8P

What you get:
- All the menus are functional, including map, level-up, etc
- Loading screens are working properly
- Items preview in inventory IS STILL ZOOMED (I am still looking into this)

Best Regards,
Helifax

but thist doesnt center the hud like the original patch did, I followed your steps and I either get a stretched hud across all 3 screens, or this:

That is exactly what it does...The stretched hud is for normal play. The 2nd mode is to allow you to read books. You just toggle between playing and reading books:) I know is far from perfect:) but it is a workaround for the stretched hud version.
Hayden will finish his tool soon that will fix everything...and the hud will be centered:)

Best Regards,
Helifax

Here is a far better 4GB patch for us x64 users, easy to use: HERE
People at Bethesda's Forums are having improvements with their gameplay with the patch.

Also, thanks for the fShadowDistance=2000 tip, trying it now. A small handful of posters on other forums found success with tweaking that value down.

First of all, I think the name is somewhat misleading. The patch size is 21kb, but it fixes the 2GB limitation of memory usage (hence 4GB patch). Secondly, as a noob, I'm not fully understanding how to use this. There is no read me and the directions leave something to be desired. Do you run the program, then select the .exe you want it to "fix"? Thanks.

That is correct.

Though I found that the game tends to crash more now with the fix.

I wasn't having problems before. Anyone else with the same issue?

Ha, I like your sense of humor! Yes, you do exactly that.

That is correct.

Funny, I haven't crashed since the 4GB patch. In fact, my frames are up overall. This is an x64 only fix, and is common to do. You can do it in the registry as well, and in some cases it can be enabled by entering some flags into a shortcut's command line string. You CTD or BSOD?

man i was hunting for the post to quote it, but we ended up racking up so many pages so quickly i cant find it now! lol
anyway, someone was saying that fraps causes them framerate lag, i just wanted to chime in that i have no such side effect.
whether i use evga tool, fraps, or whatever to monitor my fps its always the same, or such a small diff its negligible.

"Assuming you are tied of the tunnel vision in the game, and want to adjust your field of view to something more common to shooters (and useful on widescreen monitors), load up a saved game and hit the tilde key (~). That brings up a console overlay (hit tilde again to make it go away) that you can type into. Enter something like:

fov 85
...and hit [enter], and you can immediately see the fov is adjusted. I'm using 90, FWIW, but you can play around with different values to see what looks best. "

Thanks for the info Johnny Utah

im probobly quite in the minority here being at 3x1 on 4:3 19"s, but i wanted to say that these numbers are wayyyyy too huge for me. someone posted they were using 110, i tried 110, 90, 80, 75, and i think im using 70 right now. which is oddly close to the default view anyway. it puts my left and right hands RIGHT at both edges of my center screen. which is fine for my 4:3 setup. even turning it up to 80 makes my weapons feel "small" and too zoomed out.

*still absolutely dyin for haydens fix! it looks so good from teh screens, ill take it even if theres bugs! its gotta be better than the .1 version you had off the bat right?1 :D

I don't mean to but in here, but I feel this is the right topic. I can get Skyrim to run in eyefinity mode by hitting th defult and it autosetting me to my eyefinity resolution. But, it runs at about 2 frames a second. I can run the game almost flawlessly on a single monitor never dipping below 40, average of about 60 fps. I turned off all aa and the like as well. Anything to try? Also changes that I make to the skyrim .ini don't seem to actually take effect, any fix to this? Any help is appriciated.

HaYDeN is working on it for many many hours, he is fixing each and every aspect of the game to look simply perfect on eyefinity / surround resolutions, its a very hard work, please keep checking WSGF, as soon as he finishes the fix he will post it here and we will update the game's Detailed Report, under Multi-Monitor Specific Solution you may check the version thats available for download (current version is 0.1).

Also changes that I make to the skyrim .ini don't seem to actually take effect, any fix to this? Any help is appriciated.

You may try to delete SkyrimPrefs.ini (backup first) at C:Users...DocumentsMy GamesSkyrim, then set game to lowest quality possible in the game launcher, running it at your desktop resolution, you may adjust it later to a higher gfx quality level.

I wish HaYDeN would post the fix he has up to this point. Not being able to read these books is really getting on the nerves. I appreciate helifax's fix but I just prefer a quick and easy solution.

Where you at dude? Help a brotha out.

I use 4 monitors on two computers so my 4th monitor (above the 3L) I leave on the Skyrim Wiki and Google search - then type the name into google search "Brief History of the Empire XX1" and read them that way - if you have a laptop or another computer handy it works w/out having to go back to regular res to read them. And maps too.

You didn't mention whether or not you were using Crossfire, but I was and had the exact same issue. I pulled my second card and everything works fine now. It's likely a driver issues, so, you can either disable crossfire or wait for new drivers...
