Howdy: This question unanswered for a month on another forum on another site:

Hi,

I'm running a Core i7 980, Rampage Extreme Mb, 3 x GTX580's running in trip SLI mode.

Monitors are 2x Acer 120hz and one Asus 120hz.
In the past an on a previous driver version (298 I think) I did have all 3 working perfectly. Then 1 day the didn't.

the problem is that when all monitors are activated individually, they are happy to be 120hz. As soon as I go surround, 1 or 2 of them switch to 60hz, but the PC still thinks it is using one 5760 x 1080 monitor. When you run 3D stuff, the one (or two) screens run fine, while the other has a weird "inverted" effect.

I've tried swapping the inputs on the gfx cards around. I put 2 monitors on the card that previously was only running 1 monitor, and vice versa. The problem persists.

I tried reinstalling the drivers on a different version of Windows 7 in a different partition. The problem remains.

I tried messing with the BIOS settings for the MB, but I don't know what I'm doing there, and it didn't make any positive difference.

To better describe the problem: While looking through the glasses, two screens are in perfect 3D, on the third screen one can see the images meant for both eyes at the same time. (Monitor not in sync with the glasses, I presume.)

PREVIOUSLY THE FOLLOWING WORKED, BUT IT DOES NOT ANYMORE NOW:

In Nvidia control panel, go to "activate all displays"

Then in windows display manager (not Nvidia control panel) individually set each of your 3 screens to 120hz.

Then go back to Nvidia control panel and hit Surround.
(Re arrange your screens cos the stupid frikken program can't remember where you put them 3 minutes before.)

Now it works.

Until you switch off a screen or your pc.

then you have to start again.

SOMEONE ELSE SUGGESTED, BUT IT ALSO DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE:

Even better,

1. Select Activate All Display's
2. Make the monitor (that gives you the 60hz bug) your primary monitor.
3. Set every monitor @ 120Hz.
4. Select Nvidia Surround with correct reso and bezel.
5. Profit, no need to set everything back when you reboot ur system ..

NONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS WORK ANYMORE, AND i'M AT my wits end.

Help pls. Some yummy 3DS games going to waste here. I refuse to play on one measly monitor!~
