Hey, guys, sorry to hijack this thread, but a buddy was asking what he would need to get just (3) DVI based screens to run with the Eyefinity 6 card. Because it comes with (6) mini-displayports, this seems to be a daunting task.

It comes with 2 Passive DVI adapters, 2 minidp->DP adapter, and 1 passive HDMI adapter. 2 passive adapters can be used at once. So all he would need is one active adapter.

I had suggested that newer $30 Sapphire adapter to this gent, and then realized that it has a full size displayport on it. Would one of those adapters that comes with the card take care of the displayport/minidp situation with the Sapphire adapter, or would it require something else? Or perhaps he already needs the two DP/MiniDP for the passive DVI adapters?

Yes, you can just use the miniDp->DP adapter that comes in the box.

Thanks, suiken.

No problem, I bought this card for it's versatility.
