Last summer, I finished GTA1. It was a hard game, a damned hard game, but it did had a proper ending. Then there's the London 1969 expansion pack, which is a whole lot easier. Then there's London 1961, which is somewhere in between, but very short. But all of these games have proper ending cut-scenes.

Today, I beat GTA2. It was quite hard, and also pretty long, but more merciful in that you could save after completing each job. It still felt like a ton of work to finish. Here's the reward for finishing the final mission and completing all zones:

What the hell, Rockstar?

That is not the true ending.

Then what is, and how do you get it?

I have never played the game. As for what it is.

I am guessing you won't be trying for that.

The "X" button suggests to me that that is the ending for the Playstation version.

Maybe only the Playstation version has the real ending.

Har no end for you PC noobz.

I wish I played these games back in the day but I did not. I'm pretty sure I was so obsessed with isometric RPGs at the time that nothing else existed.

It's not too late. GTA 1&2 are freeware. Though sadly, London '69 isn't, and both it and London '61 require the non-freeware version of GTA1. And I'd say that London '69 is the most fun of the 2D GTAs.

Though honestly, GTA3 and Vice City are such quantum leaps above and beyond the 2D games that I'd only recommend them to completionists such as myself.

I dunno... I liked GTA a heck of a lot more than GTA3. Although I'll admit the high point of the series was Vice City. :)
