I changed my regedit values to resheight= 1050 ( in put in decimal) reswith= 1680

When I start the game it goes black it takes about 30-40 seconds for me to hear the menu sound and then I have to ctrl alt del to shut it down cuz its still black.

I thought maybe I did something wrong and tried resheight = 1680 and reswidth = 1050 Then the game started, i loaded a map took screenshot and saved it to my desktop, I rightclicked and looked in details and saw 1280x1024 resolution. So I guess that doesn't work.

My desktop resolution is 1680x1050 and its native i believe, + i use latest nvidia drivers on my geforce 7900 gto.

Why can't warcraft 3 handle 1680x1050 when all reports are that it should?

My ingame highest resolution is 1400x1050 x32 ingame.

Please help!

EDIT: Btw my warcraft seems to be getting low fps only 55-60 at idle base when I have geforce 7900 GTO 512 MB, E6400 @ 2,6 Ghz 2 GB Ram at max settings of course. While I see others with similair or even worse systems get 100+ fps.. what the hell xD

Try something lower. Just to see if it works.

Of course it does... thats the point of this mod isn't it? To higher the res than normal..

My ingame res is 1400x1050 which is the max, and i can run 1680x1050 in all games fine its my desktop res and even native to my monitor i believe.

So why are others able to play at that res while im not?

thanks..

Not really. It is more for non-4:3 aspect ratios. But some use it for higher 4:3 aspect ratios as well.

1400x1050 is a 4:3 aspect ratio. Warcraft 3 only supports 4:3 default. 1680x1050 is a 16:10 aspect ratio. Try a lower 16:10 aspect ratio like 1280x800 to try and isolate the problem.

And my point was that if 1280x800 did not work then the problem is most likely with the method while if it did work then the problem is most likely driver/application related.
