1 day after I rip out my nvidia cards and install a single watercooled 5870 E6, typical.

May have to try these out on the girlfriends pc instead x]

EDIT: 151mb version of the driver (version 258.69 BETA) instead of the 354mb cd, for those that wont be running 3D (Vista/Win7 64bit).

Woot woot, lets see some numbers people, looking for GTX470 SLI @ 5760X1200. Also is there bezel compensation?

Also would like to see tri sli GTX260's haha. One card for each monitor.

There is bezel compensation. :)

And, another thing you'll love:

That leads to the really big upside to all of this and that is the fact that GTX 480 SLI scales incredibly well and all that pixel pushing power is realized when you start turning on all the eye candy at 5760x1080 resolution.

Anyone know if you have to switch display profiles between extended and span mode like you do with eyefinity, which even after having the card for 2 days is already getting old having to switch profiles all the time.

Would be interesting to know how seemless it is to go from 3 desktop monitors in extended mode, to 3 spand monitors when gaming.
This is one of the things I have liked about SoftTH that all monitors are extended and the game then spans 3 screens fairly seemlessly, least no change of display profiles each time.

Not really sure how that would work. When in extended it treats each monitor as a single monitor, so say a res of 5760X1200 I doubt would even show up as an option.

All you have to do is create a shortcut it only takes a couple seconds. I don't see how that is getting old.

Im still new to the ati drivers having used nvidia for the past decade, I just noticed the hotkeys option, which is a few clicks less, looking now to see if the drivers will automaticly switch to a different profile when loading a game instead and then back to extended mode when it finishes, this would be more ideal.

This is why I wonder about nvidia's solution, are there profiles the user needs to switch between, or are there automatic profiles that do the switching? :)

The more seemless the switching, the better :)

At worse I am now thinking of replacing game shortcuts with .bat files that switch to span mode, launch game, when game exits, it switches back to expanded mode.

Well if you get that working let me know, it does sound like a good idea.

Does this work on Vista? If not I'm going to be pretty pissed at NVidia.
