Omg it worked :O

You cant write to the display port EDID.

Only DVI.

I unlocked the EDID on the monitor, With the menu still open i then used the Power strip to write new one.

Actually said success!!!!

You have you use a new EDID that was created in that session, you cant use one made 30 mins before hand.

It only applys to the DVI port you used to write it on.

I now have bezel managment :D

Oh no...

This monitor is going back to HP soon as it came with dead pixles 2 day ago.

The new one turned up 10 mins ago, i attempted to flash the EDID like last time and it has failed twice :(

Is bezel managment worth more then haveing no dead pixles??

will keep at it

Did you re-create the EDID flash source file based upon the new monitor data? Of coarse the new monitor has another manufacturing date, serial number, etc. Maybe that is the reason the flash fails?

After a while the flash worked fine on the new monitor.

I then did a Pixel test and it shows 3 bad pixles... 2 cant display 2/3 colour and one is black so dead.

Booked this one in to go back aswell...

Something tells me Someone in HP uk is not looking to make sure there monitors have no dead pixys!

got 4 of these now in my home all waiting to go back to HP lols

Guys please submit this quick AMD survey form for the proper bezel management

http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3

Hope they will release finally some hotfix or new 10.4 with proper bezel management.

Has anyone yet determined what controls the bezel settings? Registry? DLL?

Wondering if there is a way to manually force bezel increase and decrease between the monitors.

Ok here's exactly what i did.

I created my group and did not get bezel managment.

What i then did was to configure the displays in "desktop and displays" and turn on GPU scaling. scale image to full size

(on 2 monitors the 3rd only showed attributes adjustments and color)

After that i enabled the group again as it was disabled after enabling gpu scaling.

And suddenly Bezel management is working. (could it be that the automatic disabling of the group somehow triggered a thing to make it work ? i dont know)

I tried to replicate this by disabling the group and disabling gpu scaling and then make another group to see if this was the case but now the damn bezel thing wont shut down lol....

Could you guys try to play around with the gpu scaling a bit and see what you can make of it.

i'm running a 2 x benq g2420HD one of wich is conneted to the displayport and a benq g2400w 1920x1200 native.

Its getting late and i've pulled my hair out trying to replicate the conditions here but now i just cannot get Bezel management to not work now... go figure ....

I'l see if i can sort it by uninstalling everything in the morning and get back to you.

Trigen
